I’m pleased to be hosting my DIY Poison Apples Crate Craft Workshop at Keen Halloween this year! The crate can be used as a Halloween center piece/decoration, as a serving tray for candy apples, or to hold party favors and trick-or-treat candy. The glittered Poison Apples go with the crate as decoration or they can be placed in a basket and used as an accessory for a wicked witch costume. Other embellishments included are a homemade coffee wood stain, a paper monarch, a glittered paper crow and free templates (see below). I’ll go through all the steps in the creation process and give tips to show you exactly how to easily make your own. Hope to see you there!
When: Saturday, September 29th, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
Where: The New School for the Arts & Academics (NSAA), 1216 E. Apache Boulevard Tempe, Arizona 85281
Wondering just what exactly Keen Halloween is? If you’re tired of plastic props and poor quality costumes based on big-media, corporate characters, this event is for you! It’s a Halloween Maker Faire for those who want to get back to a classic, spooky but kid friendly Halloween. There will be a Monster Market featuring the best Halloween makers, crafters and vendors around; Workshops for making costumes, decorations, props, etc.; Entertainment; Contests and lots more!
Can’t make the workshop? My husband Anthony and I will be working at the Evil Genius Costume Bar from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and we’d appreciate your support when we compete in the Iron Skull costume making competition from 5:30 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.
